On 3 March the sanctity of a graveyard in Cikowice near Bochnia is violated. Three bodies dissapear from three graves. A video showing a man behaving very strangely appears on the Internet on 4 March and goes viral soon after its release. On 5 March more information appears about graves destroyed in many other places in Poland. The governing authorities provide a firm assurance that there is no threat of an epidemic, and most cetrainly – no zombie epidemic. However, the man from the footage and other patients transported to the Special Hospital in Bochnia have been dead for quite some time… It is a grotesque horror comedy about the first zombie apocalypse in Poland’s history.
Marcin Liber’s production of A Short Conversation with Death with the Aleksander Fredro Theatre company in Gniezno was presented at Kontakt 2021.
