“Snow” was prepared by Grzegorz Wiśniewski (last year’s winner of Konrad Świnarski award) known to Toruń audience from the realization of “Mary Stuart” by Friedrich Schiller in 2008 in our theater. The performance is based on two plays by Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz. The starting point is the situation of a realistic character “Mother” – loneliness and unfulfillment. The characters seek solace in drugs (cocaine – “white fairy”, “white madness”, “snow”). Cocaine orgy moves them into another dimension of consciousness. “The Water Hen” in the performance of Grzegorz Wiśniewski is a world of hallucinations, in which events are not subject to logic, but the whole picture seems to be a mirror showing intensification of characters’’ fear, their confusion, anxiety and emptiness. During the cocaine trance “you are in the center of the abomination of the world and existence in general.” (Witkacy)
The performance is intended for adults.
