The adaptation is based on the debut book by Iza Kuna “Klara”. The title Klara is about forty-year-old single girl who does not maintain her own life. Lost in reality, she is involved in toxic relationships: with her mother, a married lover and her similarly lost friend. In snapshots from life we get to know the characters involved in love affairs – Klara loves Alex, Alex loves Klara (and his wife), Wronka – every now and then loves another person. Oh, Klara’s mother also has admirers, although she keeps saying that she is going to die. Everyone hurts one another, forgives, they cry together, laugh, drink and swallow antidepressants. And still surreal atmosphere and absurd humor creep into life. There will be a cat, which talks, there will be things in a surprising shape and context. It will be bitter and sweet, and terrible and funny. And where does Klara actually come from?
Not being able to write about myself I created a woman I had never been, but who I sometimes wish I could be and who I like. I find her in many people that I encounter – Iza Kuna.
