“Is this friendship? is this love?” is a concert, in which with the greatest esteem we reach for songs of the master shelf of melancholy and romanticism. The concert features songs with the lyrics of such poets as: Marek Czuryło, Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński, Marek Grechuta, Adam Mickiewicz, Tadeusz Nowak, Andrzej Nowicki, Julian Tuwim, Liliana Wiśniowska, Stanisław Wyspiański, whereas the music was composed by such outstanding artists as: Marek Grechuta and Jan Kanty Pawluśkiewicz. Unforgettable interpretations of the great bard of Krakow are constantly being rediscovered by new generations of “followers”. Therefore, the concert will feature new performances of songs known from Marek Grechuta’s repertoire, both very popular from the Anawa band’s glory days („Nie dokazuj”, „Serce” or „Będziesz moją panią”), as well as those from the period of the Artist’s solo career (e.g. “Krajobraz z Wilgą”). All songs have been prepared in excellent arrangements by Tomasz Łuc. The theme of the concert is love and all related moments of elation and doubts, dilemmas and confidence, enthusiasm and failures. This evening will be a kind of elusive psychoanalysis, during which we will ask what is this delicate matter called happiness. We want it to make us turn in the direction of breath that we all need, calm and inestimable value of poetry, which is the source of many artistic and simply human inspirations. – Jacek Bończyk
