The play “Dark play or stories for boys” was presented at Wilam Horzyca Theater as part of the series Twenty-First Century Drama – “Brave New World?” in 2009.
This is an intriguing story about two teenage boys who, in the world of Internet, look for what they lack in reality. When one of them – Adam – publishes the ad on the chat, “I want to fall in love”, the second one – Nick – starts a dangerous game with him, in which by changing identity and manipulating Adam, he will try to answer the question: “what is this LOVE about?”. The story begins in the virtual world, but will have its tragic end in reality.
It’s a play about a difficult adolescence in the era of the Internet, about the dangers posed by anonymity on the web, but also about the need for acceptance, love and attention which is independent of the Internet possibilities. – says Iwona Kempa.
