Incredible Polish season. My mouth smiled. Wyspiański! I’ve never been as smart as people from the WEDDING, and I am often being as stupid as people from the WEDDING. So why not the WEDDING? I have long had the impression that the words of the bard even though in the play are spoken by different people, could be linked into a strangely coherent monologue. Full of wit, but also bitter truth. I composed this monologue. About us, the Poles. Although I’m not sure if according to the criteria of “real” Poles I am a Pole.
Thanks to the kindness of the Directorate of Theatre and financial assistance of TORUŃ – PACIFIC, I debut as a playwright and director. And I invite you to the wedding. Without the Bride, Groom. Without groomsmen, bridesmaids and the families of bride and groom. Even when someone gets drunk, they will not see ghosts. But there will be the orchestra! And you, dear Ladies and Gentlemen – My Guests! At the foyer on the second floor of Horzyca Theater COSI, GDZIESI, KAJSI, KTOSI.
