We are pleased to share the information that the Kontakt International Theater Festival has been accepted into the European Festivals Association (EFA).
Festival Director Renata Derejczyk and Festival Spokesperson Marta Wudarska were among 230 festival delegates from 51 countries who gathered to forge partnerships and discuss the power of art at the Art Festivals Summit on May 12–15 on the island of Usedom.
On the last day, the 72nd EFA General Meeting was held, during which our representatives presented the Contact Festival, and then, after the official vote, we were admitted to EFA.
During three days, we discussed topics such as attention to art, the role of festivals in reaching diverse audiences, and the times we live in that require free space, peace and careful treatment of people and the planet.
