The following members of the Jury, have been appointed by the Director of the Festival,  Andrzej Churski:

The jury very much appreciated the wide-range of performances selected by the organizers for this year’s festival. It thereby  gained an even wider international dimension. The jury particularly appreciated the fact that many of the performances contained reflection  on the past as well as current issues in an inspiring way. We observed the creativity of the  directors and companies revitalizing the language of today’s theater with great pleasure.

After viewing 10 competition performances, the Jury has decided to award the prizes accordingly:

GRAND PRIX of the Festival

granted by THE MARSHAL OF THE KUJAWSKO-POMORSKIE VOIVODESHIP, Piotr Całbecki

for the performance “Iliad” directed by Jermej Lorenciand co-produced by the National Theatre in Lubliana, City Theatre in Lubliana and Center “Cankarjev Dom” in Lubliana. The award is conferred for the innovative theater rendition ,original adaptation of Homer’s epic poem, and especially for the precise combination of movement, voice and music.

BEST DIRECTOR AWARD

granted by THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF TORUŃ, Michał Zaleski

is awarded to Yana Ross  for the performance “Seagull” by Anthony Czechow produced by the  The City Theatre in Reykjavik in recognition of the distinctive interpretation of Chekhov’s drama in the context of modern Icelandic society.

The jury, with the consent of the organizers, instead of two individual awards decided to admit one award for the team De Warme Winkel company for their creative collective effort leading to the multifaceted stage narration.

PRESS AWARD founded by the journalists and critic

for the performance “Iliad” directed by

Jermej Lorenci that have arisen due to the coproduction of the  National Theatre in Lubliana, City Theatre in Lubliana and Center “Cankarjev Dom” in Lubliana.

The “Flisaczek” Award for Best Music, funded by the Radio Gra Station in Toruń, is awarded to Branko Rožman and the performers of “Iliad” directed by Jermej Lorenci that have arisen due to the coproduction of the  National Theatre in Lubliana, City Theatre in Lubliana and Center “Cankarjev Dom” in Lubliana.
